Papercuts by Andrew Flint

These pieces are made of construction paper that I cut with an X-acto knife. Some consist of one piece of paper pressed flat against a background, and other are built of several pieces of paper mounted at various depths inside shadowbox frames. I can reproduce these and many other images in various configurations of depth, color, size, and complexity.

The Empire State Building - 11" x 9 1/8". 14 layers of paper, 5 planes of depth


The Empire State Building is made of three layers of depth, each composed of three layers of paper. I built the form out of foam core and covered it in cut paper, essentially creating a small sculpture.
